Hex Beam Privacy Policy
This privacy policy describes how Hex Beam and its service providers handle information when you use the mobile app.
Information We Process
Hex Beam does not require an account and does not ask you to provide your name, email address, or other direct contact information. However, the app and the third-party services described below may automatically process:
- app activity, such as app opens, session information, gameplay progress, completed levels, ad interactions, and reward events
- device and app information, such as device model, operating system, app version, language, and general location inferred from your IP address
- diagnostic and performance information, such as crashes, loading times, and SDK performance
- identifiers, such as a Firebase app-instance identifier and device, advertising, app-set, or vendor identifiers made available by your operating system
We use this information to operate and improve the game, understand general usage, deliver and measure ads, provide rewarded features, limit repeated ads, and help prevent fraud and abuse.
Advertising and Google AdMob
The mobile app uses Google AdMob to provide interstitial and rewarded advertisements. Google Mobile Ads may process and share information such as IP address, general location, ad views and interactions, diagnostic data, and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, reporting, security, and fraud-prevention purposes.
Hex Beam requests non-personalized ads. This means ads are not selected using a personalized advertising profile created by Hex Beam. Non-personalized ads may still use contextual information and limited identifiers for purposes such as ad delivery, frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and fraud prevention.
On iOS, Hex Beam does not request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework and does not intentionally access the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). Google services may use other identifiers permitted by the operating system, such as an Identifier for Vendor (IDFV) or app-scoped identifier. On Android, Google SDKs may access the resettable Android Advertising ID or app-set identifiers when available. You can manage or reset advertising identifiers in your device settings.
Consent and Privacy Choices
Hex Beam uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and store privacy choices where required by law. The app refreshes your consent status when it launches and does not request ads unless UMP indicates that ads may be requested. Where required, you can review or change your choices using the privacy shield in the game’s controls menu.
Declining an optional consent choice does not prevent you from playing the game, although ads or ad-supported rewards may be unavailable. You can also use your device’s privacy and advertising settings to limit or reset identifiers.
Firebase Analytics
Hex Beam uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used and improve the game. Firebase Analytics may collect an app-instance identifier, session statistics, approximate location, device and operating-system information, app opens, and gameplay or advertising events. Hex Beam configures Firebase Analytics to deny ad storage, ad user data, and ad-personalization consent signals. Analytics data is not used by Hex Beam for cross-app tracking or personalized advertising.
Sharing and Third-Party Services
Information described in this policy is transmitted to Google when its AdMob, UMP, and Firebase Analytics services operate. Google handles that information under its own terms and privacy policies. Hex Beam does not sell your personal information.
You can learn more from Google’s explanation of how it uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Local Data
Game progress, preferences, and ad-frequency information may be stored locally on your device. Local data remains on your device unless a feature described in this policy separately transmits related usage information to a service provider. Removing the app or clearing its storage may delete this local data.
Children’s Privacy
Hex Beam is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Policy Changes
We may update this policy when the app, its service providers, or applicable requirements change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
